How the League is managed

League Management

The League is managed by a team of five Officers together with eight other members of the Management Committee. The Committee meets on a regular basis and is supported by four Sub-Committees, namely, Emergency, Honoraria & Administration, Rules Compliance and Sponsorship & Match.

The League's Officers are:

President:

Michael Banham was Chairman of the former Norwich & District Saturday League and was elected as President in 2017. He is also the current Chairman of Norfolk County FA.

 

Chairman:
 

Gary Briggs was elected as Chairman of the League in 2016, having been a member of the Management Committee since 2014. He was also a player in the League for many years, notably for Lopham.
 

Deputy Chairman

Malcolm Stebbings was elected as Deputy Chairman of the League in 2012, having been a member of the Management Committee since 2011. He was formerly involved as Secretary of Toftwood Utd./Cranworth.

Secretary:

John Turner. John has been a member of the Management Committee since 1972 and was elected as Hon. Secretary and Treasurer in 1977. He is a Life Member of the League.

 

 

Deputy Secretary:

Mick Utting. Mick has been a member of the Management Committee since 1988 having been elected as Deputy Secretary at the AGM in June that year.

 

 

Management Committee

The members of the Management Committee are Simon Bell, Steve Boddy, Ed Colman, Doug Morse, David Sewell, Keith Vertigan and Phil Williamson.

Football Association 50 years service awards

At the Annual Training Seminar held at Aldiss Park, Dereham on Monday, 16 August 2010, Hector Chambers and Reg Parker were presented with their 50 years service awards from the Football Association. The awards were presented by Roger Howlett, Norfolk FA's representative on the FA.

Deputy Secretary presentation

At the AGM in June 2013, Mick Utting, the Deputy Secretary of the League, was presented with an engraved decanter to mark his 25 years of service to the League in that capacity. Below is a photo of Mick after the presentation in the company of Shaun Turner, Norfolk FA Chief Executive, and the League President, Hector Chambers.
